Darla Ratzak is in her 13th year with Williston Public School District #1, her 36th year in education overall. She grew up in Bismarck, ND and went to college at the University of Mary. Principal Ratzak previously worked with Head Start, as well as teaching 1st grade, 6th grade, and Gifted and Talented Programs.

She has been married to her husband, Wayne, for 34 years. They have four children: two adopted sons and two daughters. Some of her favorite things are spending time with family, boating, and fishing.  

"I love what I do! I have a passion for children and I believe that every child can learn."

Fun fact: I graduated from the same high school as Carson Wentz and Miss America, Cara Mund.
